Orlando Queer & Trans Asian Association

Orlando, FL-- The Orlando Queer & Trans Asian Association has been presented with the honor of receiving a  grant from the Contigo Community Fund.

According to the Contigo Fund website, “Contigo Fund is an effort to strengthen and network existing agencies and to identify and support grassroots efforts that advance Latinx and LGBTQ causes and the intersection of these two communities. It will also seek to build bridges across Central Florida’s diverse communities and to raise awareness of homophobia, transphobia, Islamophobia, racism, and other forms of bigotry that divide our communities rather than bring them together.”

This grant allows us to fund programming as our community transitions back into in-person events. We will be able to uphold our pillars of Advocacy, Education, Community, and Civic Engagement while maintaining the quality of work and intention our organization was built upon.

We hope to better serve our communities and the QTPOC community of Orlando by hosting community events, fostering leadership within our local high schools, and providing support for our sex worker community.
