Who We Are

As Orlando's premiere LGBTQ Asian organization, OQTAA welcomes all who belong to the community and those who are unsure if they belong. We are made up of a group of diverse individuals involved in circles across Orlando.

What We Do

OQTAA works to provide a community for queer and trans Asians to celebrate their experiences and intersections, while simultaneously finding resources and affirmation relating to the queer and trans Asian identity.

Pride of Color

In 2021, OQTAA created Pride of Color, an annual admission-free space to celebrate queer Black, Indigenous, Asian American, Latinx, Pacific Islander, etc. communities that is free of corporate entities and policing.

Donations Support the Community

OQTAA relies on donations to create events and support our community. Most recently, we were able to host our second Pride of Color thanks to the donations from our supporters.

OQTAA Thanks the Contigo Community Fund

Orlando, FL-- The Orlando Queer & Trans Asian Association has been presented with the honor of receiving a grant from the Contigo Community Fund.

According to the Contigo Fund website, “Contigo Fund is an effort to strengthen and network existing agencies and to identify and support grassroots efforts that advance Latinx and LGBTQ causes and the intersection of these two communities. It will also seek to build bridges across Central Florida’s diverse communities and to raise awareness of homophobia, transphobia, Islamophobia, racism, and other forms of bigotry that divide our communities rather than bring them together.”

OQTAA Responds to Atlanta Massage Parlor Shootings

Orlando, FL -- In response to to the deaths of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, Tony McDade and so many others, the Orlando Queer & Trans Asian Association stands with the Black community in demanding justice and ending police brutality. We denounce the actions of Officer Tou Thao and the silence of those in the Asian American community in their complicity in anti-Blackness.

The Orlando Queer & Trans would like to announce that our Orlando Sex Worker Fund has now closed and we will no longer be accepting applicants. Thank you to everyone who extended their generosity during this time. Your contributions greatly helped our applicants in their need for aid during this COVD-19 pandemic

OQTAA Condemns Racist Attacks and Xenophobic Responses to COVID-19

Orlando, FL -- The Orlando Queer & Trans Asian Association strongly condemns any racist attacks and acts of xenophobia as the number of cases rise in the United States. OQTAA calls on the public to engage in safe personal hygiene practices without succumbing to discrimination or offensive remarks regarding the Asian American population.
