Community Liaison (College Students)
The College Students Community Liaison is responsible for reaching out to college students within Central Florida and looking for opportunities to create programming for that community.
Main Areas of Expected Work
Reaching out to college students within Central Florida and looking for opportunities to create programming for that community about various topics such as identity, mental health, sexual education, sex work, etc.
Reporting to and collaborating with the Executive Director
General Qualifications
Minimum age of 18 years old
Proficiency with Google Drive
Preferred Qualifications
Previous programming and/or event planning experience
Familiar with local colleges, student organizations, etc.
Familiar with the interests of OQTAA’s target audience of LGBTQ+ Asians and Asian Americans, as well as our allies
This is a voluntary, one year position and requires up to 5 hours of time commitment per week, including weekly board virtual check-in meetings.
Community Liaison (Professionals)
The Professionals Community Liaison is responsible for reaching out to young professionals within Central Florida and looking for opportunities to create programming for that community.

Fundraising Manager
The Fundraising Manager is responsible for generating and executing fundraising ideas such as merchandise sales, fundraising events, and sponsorship proposals for the organization.
Main Areas of Expected Work
Work under the Associate Director to generate and execute fundraising ideas such as merchandise sales, fundraising events, and sponsorship proposals
Manage the organization’s merchandise sales and works with the Social Media team for advertising
Attend and assist in monthly general organization meetings/events
General Qualifications
Minimum age of 18 years old
Proficiency with Google Drive
Preferred Qualifications
Previous fundraising and/or event planning experience
Familiar with local businesses, community organizations, and potential sponsors
Familiar with the interests of OQTAA’s target audience of LGBTQ+ Asians and Asian Americans, as well as our allies
This is a voluntary, one year position and requires up to 5 hours of time commitment per week, including weekly board virtual check-in meetings.
Social Media Manager
The Social Media Manager is responsible for working with a team of Social Media Assistant(s) to keep all social media platforms up-to-date, increase engagement, develop appropriate branding and messaging, and draft press releases/executive statements.
Main Areas of Expected Work
Work with a team of Social Media Assistant(s) to keep all social media platforms up-to-date, and increase engagement with the audience on different social media platforms
Develop appropriate branding and messaging for social media platforms and campaigns
Work under the Executive Director and Communications Director to draft press releases, executive statements
Attend and assist in monthly general organization meetings/events
General Qualifications
Minimum age of 18 years old
Proficiency with Google Drive, Google Calendar, Google Docs, and MS Office
Preferred Qualifications
Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
Experience with creating email newsletters using MailChimp
Familiar with the interests of OQTAA’s target audience of LGBTQ+ Asians and Asian Americans, as well as our allies
This is a voluntary, one year position and requires up to 5-10 hours of time commitment per week, including weekly board virtual check-in meetings.
Social Media Assistant(s)
The Social Media Assistant(s) are responsible for working directly with the Social Media Manager to keep all social media platforms up-to-date, and increase engagement with the audience on different social media platforms.
Main Areas of Expected Work
Work directly with the current Social Media Manager to keep all social media platforms up-to-date, and increase engagement with the audience on different social media platforms
Maintain OQTAA’s brand across all social media accounts
Pay close attention to Facebook and Twitter engagement
Respond to messages, comments, and direct messages as needed
Collaborate with the current Social Media Manager and Communications Director to create a cohesive, modern brand voice
Suggest improvements on Social Media strategy as needed
Monthly responsibilities of this position may include:
Check-in meetings as needed for individual and organization progress
Monthly review of the Social Media calendar and posting schedule
Coverage and/or attendance of monthly OQTAA events
General Qualifications
Minimum age of 18 years old
Proficiency with Google Drive, Google Calendar, Google Docs, and MS Office
Preferred Qualifications
Able to learn or become more familiar with Google Sheets and Google Forms
Current or past experience with managing Social Media accounts, specifically Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram
Familiar with the interests of OQTAA’s target audience of LGBTQ+ Asians and Asian Americans, as well as our allies
Comfortable with moderating Discord as a means of communication between OQTAA members and officers, as well as allies
Strong ability to distinguish between AAVE and other forms of American English, as well as internet slang in order to maintain branding standards
Strong understanding of various Asian cultures and languages, or the ability to self-educate before asking for further input as needed
This is a voluntary, one year position and requires up to 10 hours of time commitment per week for one assistant, or five hours per week if there are two assistants.
